Description

General Responsibilities:
The business planning analyst will work closely with the sales team and external customer’s to support sales strategy development and pricing execution. Responsibilities will include analyzing pricing and cost bases to develop a pricing strategy with the sales team, gathering and reviewing market data to develop a sales promotion strategy, support budget review process etc. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and open to learning product knowledge and manufacturing processes so as to communicate confidently with knowledgeable internally and with customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with sales, engineering, purchasing, and cost analysis teams
  • Research and understand market/competitor information.
  • Support RFQ with market knowledge and pricing analysis.
  • Analyze costs and pricing for customer applications
  • Receive customer purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Support sales budget development
  • Support customer cost breakdown activities
  • Track customer contracts
  • Support commercial aspects of product development and design changes
  • Understand customer’s expectations

Qualifications

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales, engineering, program management, or business development.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Well organized, inquisitive, and independent
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Availability for travel, including international

Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills.
