Intern – Electrical Engineering-42016


Summary:  This intern will work with the team in the Design Engineering Department specifically in the field of power electronic DC/AC inverters for electric and hybrid electric vehicles.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Gain an understanding of power electronic DC/AC conversion topology
  • Become familiar with some of the very specific electrical circuits
  • Experience hands on building and trouble shooting of prototype circuits
  • Experience writing documentation regarding test results.


Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Be in the pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and completed junior level course work.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Demonstrated electrical aptitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Very good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently while provided proper direction.
  • Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools, CAD (other to be added)

  • U.S. Citizen or documentation of eligibility to work in the United States.
